What happens in a counselling session?
A counselling session lasts 50 minutes. The session is yours to use as you want to, and you decide the subject you would like to talk about. But if that feels daunting, then I will ask you questions to help you start talking, rather than leaving you sitting in uncomfortable silence.
In your first counselling session we will enter into an agreement as to the number of sessions you want to meet for, and this will be reviewed throughout the process, to see if you want to continue for more sessions. Extending the number of sessions can be useful, particularly if unexpected issues have surfaced during the counselling process. It is always your choice as to when you end your therapy.
My fee for one-to-one sessions is £50, with concessions available for students and those on benefits. Fees for group sessions may vary. Payment is made by cash or card on the day or BACS payments can be set up.
As part of our agreement to work together I will need 24 hours notice if you wish to cancel a session or the payment for the session will charged. I will equally give you due notice of any holidays or cancellations on my part
